palestras no Fórum de Acupuntura no Encontro de Cúpula organizado pelo World Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Societies (WFAS) no Congresso da Organização Mundial de Saúde
em Medicina Tradicional 2008, a ser realizado entre
os dias 7 e 9 do novembro em Beijing, China.
Por sua vez o dr. Wu Tu Hsing ministrará palestras
no Congresso de Acupuntura de Taiwan em dezembro/08 |

With reference to the preparations being made for the "WHO Congress on Traditional Medicine 2008", which will be held in Beijing, China, I would like to inform you of the following progress since the first "WHO Working Group Meeting on Preparatory of the WHO Congress on Traditional Medicine 2008" was held in May 2007:
* Dr Margaret Chan, the Director-General of WHO, has sent a letter in July 2007 to the Chinese government who is hosting the Congress with financial support.
* The proposed date of the Congress is 7 - 9 November 2008. Now we are waiting for the Chinese government's final confirmation.
* MOH China has submitted WHO's proposal to their Central government for meeting and financial approval.
* The venue of the Congress was decided to be held at the Jiu Hua Shan Hotel. The opening ceremony will take place at the People's Great Hall.
* WHO submitted the list of members of the Organization Committee to the Director-General's Office of WHO and to the Chinese government for review and approval.
* On 21-25 January 2008, it will be the 122nd Session of the WHO Executive Board. Normally, the delegation of the Chinese Ministry of Health and NGOs with WHO official relations will attend the WHO Executive Board. We should, therefore, like to take the opportunity to organize a second working group meeting in the morning of 22 January 2008 in WHO, Geneva, Switzerland. WFAS appointed Dr. Hu Weiguo to attend the meeting.The main objectives of the meeting are:
1. to review and report the progress of the preparations by WHO, Chinese government and each NGO since the first meeting in May 2007;
2. to further discuss the necessary details for the preparation and activities.
The Traditional Medicine Summit of WHO is to be held on Novemver 7-9 in Beijing, China.WFAS is in charge of the Acupuncture Forum of the Summit.
